Book-club host gifts: choosing a mug or a notebook
A mug makes sense for someone who likes a drink beside their book. A notebook makes sense for someone who writes things down. Before buying a book-club host a gift, start with that small distinction: what would they actually use?
This is a buying guide from Gleb Zaitsev Studio. We sell the physical products below on Bonanza. They are separate, printed-to-order products with original AI-assisted studio artwork. The pictures are supplier-generated digital mockups, not photographs of a finished sample in our hands.

For the reader with a favourite chair and a hot drink

The Reading Frog mug is white glossy ceramic with the illustration printed once around it. It is dishwasher and microwave safe. Choose it if the recipient enjoys an ordinary-sized coffee or tea, and you know another mug would be welcome.
Check their usual cup first. An 11 oz mug may feel small to someone who prefers a large drink. If their cupboard is already full, a book-themed illustration alone is not a reason to add another cup.

Another mug for a raven-and-books reader

If the host likes ravens, old books and a crescent moon, the Raven Books ceramic mug is another option for a reading chair. It is one white 11 oz mug, listed at US $29.99 before tax when checked on October 27, 2026. The design is printed on one side; the main mockup shows the handle on the right.
Choose the illustration they would enjoy using. The Raven Books and Reading Frog mugs are alternatives sold separately, not a pair included in one listing. Neither mug has personalised text.

For the reader who keeps a pen nearby

The Raven Books hardcover notebook has 150 white lined pages, or 75 sheets, with perforations and a flexible sewn spine. The raven-and-books illustration is on the front, with a matching printed back. The supplier adds a small barcode to the back cover.
It is a plain lined notebook. It does not contain printed review forms, discussion questions, a dated calendar or personalised text. That leaves room for a reader's own system. For a club meeting, they could write the book title and agreed stopping point, a detail they noticed, and a question to bring to the table. Those headings are suggestions to write yourself; they are not printed inside.

Check the date before ordering
These products are made to order through our production partner. Allow up to seven business days for production and dispatch, followed by carrier transit. Use the current checkout estimate for the delivery address; this guide does not promise arrival for a particular meeting or holiday. These listings serve supported US addresses only.
Each listing includes one item. Books, drinks, pens, props and gift packaging are not included, and this is not a gift set. Read the individual listing's return terms before buying. If an item arrives damaged or misprinted, contact us through Bonanza within 30 days of delivery with photos so we can review the problem.
Three short notes to write yourself
A specific thank-you can make a small host gift feel considered. These are original suggestions to handwrite on your own card; a card, gift wrap and personalised printing are not included with the products.
- Different books, same good table. Thank you for bringing us together.
- For the quiet chapter after a lively discussion. Thanks for making room for every reader.
- One more cup, one more chapter. Thank you for another evening worth talking about.
If the meeting is tonight
A printed-to-order gift will not solve a same-day deadline. You can instead bring our six free book-club questions and printable cards, or try Shelf Signals, our free browser or print-and-play guessing game for 2–6 readers. Both activities are separate from the physical products. No purchase is needed to use them.
For a physical gift, choose the format that fits the person's habits, then check the listing and delivery estimate. One useful object is enough.
