A birdwatching break for two, with four free bingo cards

A bird-themed gift can come with something to do together. Choose two different bingo cards, make a drink and watch from one comfortable spot. Our free activity uses things birds do, so nobody has to pass a bird-name quiz before joining in.

This is a free activity from Gleb Zaitsev Studio. The optional mug linked below is a separate product we sell on Bonanza. No purchase is needed to use the cards.

Set up a window watch for two

  1. Choose different cards. One person can open Card A and the other Card B. Cards C and D are available in the same page's selector.
  2. Pick a comfortable place. Watch through a window, or from a permitted outdoor spot where you can keep your distance. There is no need to attract a bird, approach a nest or make an animal perform an action.
  3. Mark what you actually see. Look for actions such as a bird turning its head, hopping or cleaning its feathers. Tap a square to mark it; tap again to undo. The middle FREE square is already marked.
  4. Compare your cards. Three marked squares in a row, column or diagonal make bingo. You can also leave the game unfinished and simply compare what each person noticed.

The same bird can count for more than one square when you observe each action. Different cards give you different arrangements to watch for.

Send a card link, or use paper

Choose a letter and use the page's Copy Card link button to send that card yourself. The link opens a fresh card. It does not carry your marked actions to the other person. Marks remain in your current open page; reloading clears them.

For paper copies, the download page offers US Letter and A4 PDFs. Each file has four different cards on two pages. No signup or email address is required.

Both complete PDFs are also hosted on our free Birdwatching Bingo page on itch.io. Choose US Letter or A4; each file includes all four cards. There is no purchase or donation requirement.

Choosing a physical gift? Our birdwatcher gift guide compares the mug and T-shirt, including garment measurements, capacity, production times and supported US delivery. Both current product links are in the guide.

A short note to write with it: “A warm drink, a quiet watch, and whichever birds arrive.”

Six book-club questions for readers at different chapters

Image
One person has finished the novel. Another is halfway through. Someone else has only read the opening. You can still have a book-club conversation, provided you agree what is in bounds before anyone starts explaining a favourite scene. These six original prompts are for a fiction group discussing an agreed section. They are a free activity from Gleb Zaitsev Studio. The optional mug near the end is a separate product we sell on Bonanza; no purchase is needed to use the questions or download our meeting kit. Agree the stopping point first Choose a chapter or named section everyone taking part has reached. Chapter references are often easier to compare than page numbers across different editions. If somebody has not started, let them listen, pass, or help choose a later meeting date. Nobody needs to explain their reading pace. Ask people who have read ahead to stay inside that boundary. Even “you'll understand later” can give something away. Agree that anyone can say “pause” wh...
